NPCIL  Recruitment for Stipendiary Trainees: Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for 162 Posts (Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant – Category-I, Scientific Assistant/B & Stipendiary Trainee/Technician – Category-II) at the Gujrat Site of NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED. Applications will be received on-line only. No paper applications or applications through post/email etc. will be accepted.

On successful completion of training, the Stipendiary Trainees (Category-I) are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Scientific Assistant/B in the pay of `35400/- in level 6 and the Stipendiary Trainees (Category-II) are likely to be considered for appointment to the post of Technician/B in the pay of `21700/- in level 3 of Revised Pay Structure (Pay Matrix) under CCS (RP) Rules, 2016. However, Trainees who score less than the prescribed marks for absorption will not be absorbed and will be discharged from training. Absorption of the trainees is further subject to the Company’s requirement of manpower, availability of vacancies, and suitability of trainees for absorption as per the assessment of the management for absorption.

NPCIL Recruitment Eligibility

Educational Qualifications:

a. Stipendiary Trainees/ Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) - Diploma Holders in Engineering
  • Diploma in Engineering with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/Chemical recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years duration after SSC/HSC.
  • Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. Candidates who have pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
b. Stipendiary Trainees / Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) - Science Graduates
  • B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. shall be with Chemistry as principal and Physics/Mathematics/ Statistics/Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage. Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential. Candidates having Mathematics as the principal subject at B.Sc. are not eligible.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
c. Scientific Assistant/B - Diploma Holders in Civil Engineering
  • Diploma in Engineering with not less than 60% marks in Civil recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years duration after SSC/HSC.
  • Candidates with HSC + 2 years Diploma course in Civil Engineering (Approved by AICTE) with 60% or above marks are also eligible. Candidates who have pursued Diploma through Lateral entry to 2nd year Diploma after Xth (SSC) + ITI are not eligible.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
d. Stipendiary Trainees / Technician (ST/TM)(Category II)–Plant Operator
  • HSC (10+2) or ISC (with Science subjects) with not less than 50% marks in Science and Mathematics individually.
  • English as one of the subjects atleast at SSC level Examination.
e. Stipendiary Trainees / Technician (ST/TM)(Category II) - Maintainer
  • SSC (10 years) with not less than 50% marks in Science subjects and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate course in Fitter/ Electrician/ Electronic Mechanic/ Instrument Mechanic/ Welder/ Machinist/ Diesel Mechanic trade.
  • For Trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates should have atleast one year relevant working experience after completion of the course.
  • English as one of the subject atleast at SSC level examination.

NPCIL Recruitment Exam Structure

For the post of Stipendiary Trainees/ Technician (ST/TM) (Category – II) :-

Stage-1 Preliminary Test:

Important

Marking pattern for Online Test :- 03 (Three) marks for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Stage-2 Advance Test :

All the candidates screened-in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test. The syllabus for question paper for Stage 2 test will be based on the qualification. The test will be of 02 (Two) hours duration.
The level of questions for Plant Operator trainees will be based on the syllabus in HSC or ISC and that for Maintainer Trainees, the same will be in their respective ITI trade.
The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (Choice of four answers) with 03 (Three) marks for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Stage-3 Skill Test (Only for Stipendiary Trainees / Technician (ST/TM) (Category II) - Maintainer:

The candidates will be shortlisted in each trade for skill test in the ratio of 1 post: 5 candidates (wherever the number of candidates is more than 5) in the order of merit prepared after Stage-2.
The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only on the GO/NO GO basis.
Candidates clearing the SKILL TEST to be shortlisted and empanelled in order of merit based on marks secured in Stage-2.
For the post of Stipendiary Trainees/ Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category – I) & Scientific Assistant/B (SA/B) :-

Online Examination

Online examination will be conducted tentatively in April, 2019. Exact date, time and venue of the written examination will be available in the “Admit Card”. Admit card of the screened in the candidate for appearing for written examination will be made available in the website for downloading. Email/SMS will also be sent to screened-in candidates.
No. of Questions: 120 | Section A, B and C each consisting of 40 marks.
Negative marking: No

HOW TO APPLY NPCIL RECRUITMENT 

1 Candidates have to apply through online application form provided on the website www.npcilcareers.co.in only.

2 The online application form will be available on the website (www.npcilcareers.co.in) from 07/01/2019 at 1000 hrs and will close on 31/01/2019 at 1600 hrs.

3 It is mandatory to input all the relevant information (such as qualifying degree details, duration, the percentage of marks, contact mobile number, e-mail address etc.) to complete the registration and get the Registration number. Candidates are therefore advised to keep such information ready before applying online.

4 Before applying online candidate should scan his/her photograph in JPG format, of size not more than 50KB and a minimum of 125 x 165 pixels (4.4 x 5.8 in cm) in dimensions and signature in JPG format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions. The photograph uploaded will be printed on the Admit card/interview call letter and only the candidate whose photograph is printed on the Admit Card/Call letter will be allowed to appear for written examination/interview, if called for.

5 The photograph should be in colour, against a light colored, preferably white background and if you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.

6 Candidate must ensure that Photo to be uploaded is of required size and face should be clearly visible. If the photo is not uploaded at the place of Photo admission for examination will be rejected/ denied.

7 The applicant has to ensure that the signature image should be clearly visible and has to sign on white paper with blue/black ink pen. Unsigned and signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall be summarily rejected.

8 The signature image in JPG format of size not more than 20KB and a minimum of 125 x 80 pixels (4.4 x 2.9 cm) in dimensions to be uploaded at the space provided.
