Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technology is an undergraduate engineering course which elucidates the concept of Cloud Computing and attempts to define the importance of cloud phenomenon and all the visualization technologies associated with the phenomenon.

Cloud Computing is still evolving and the course comprehensively covers the basic technologies involved in it such as Virtualization and the history of the cloud and its roots in Service Oriented Architecture and Utility Computing. Although the course is comparatively new, it has an ample amount of scope to take in the fast-changing models that are the result of cloud computing. Through this program, students benefit from the several practical credits that provide hands-on capabilities on the various aspects of cloud.

The minimum eligibility for this 4-year long course is the successful completion of Class XII/Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry securing 50% marks or above.

Selection in engineering colleges for this field is done either through JEE Main All India rank or State or university level entrance examinations such as UPESEAT by UPES University, Dehradun. The last step of the admission process involves counselling considering the marks obtained in the entrance examinations.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech in Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technology

For B.Tech in Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technology, aspirants need to have qualified the Higher Secondary level examination (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one out of Chemistry /Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer or any other technical subject, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any recognized Board or Council. For Board’s merit- based selection, a minimum of 80% marks is compulsory at the Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and a minimum of 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th class).
  • Hindustan University Entrance Examinations (HITSEEE) – HITSEEE stands for Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Entrance Examination, which is conducted in the month of April for providing admissions to engineering and architecture courses. Application forms are available from January onwards and the last date for submitting the filled- in application forms is in the second week of April. Candidates can choose to fill the application form in any one of offline and online mode. The online entrance examination is an objective- type multiple choice test. Selection of candidates is based on merit attained in the HITSEEE test.
  • UPTU 2019 (AKTU or UPSEE) – UP State Entrance Examination (UPTU), also referred to as UPSEE or AKTU, is a State level entrance examination conducted by the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). The exam is conducted in the month of April for admissions to undergraduate technical courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, to name a few. Students can get admissions in all the technical institutions affiliated to AKTU, UP.  Application forms are available in January and the last date to submit the online forms including the payment is in March.
  • Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) – Conducted by Anna University for admissions into the engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu. Application forms are available in the month of May every year and counselling begins in the first week of July. Forms are available online on the official website of Anna University. The TNEA selection process differs for candidates belonging to reserved categories, therefore, aspirants should check the admission/selection process and eligibility criteria carefully before filling out the application forms.
  • Veltech Technical University Engineering Entrance Exam (VTUEEE) – VTUEEE is an All India Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by Veltech Dr. RR and Dr. SR Technical University (VTU) for admissions to B.Tech degree programs. The test is held in two phases – Phase I and Phase II. The Phase I of VTUEEE 2019 is held offline (Paper and Pen Test) in January, and the Phase II of VTUEEE is conducted in two parts- offline (Paper and Pen Test) and online (Computer Based Test) in April. Application forms are available both offline and online from October and the last date to receive filled- in application forms is in January for Phase I and in April for Phase II. VTUEEE Application Form is also available on Google Playstore.
  • Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT) – SUAT is conducted by the Sharda University for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of engineering, management and law. Candidates having valid scores from any national/State level entrance test (JEE or UPSEE) are exempted from appearing in the test. The application form is available on the university’s official website from March onwards, and the last date for the submission is in May. The exam is held in the month of May/June. The test is objective- type and assesses problem solving skills, analytical skills and language proficiency of the candidates.
  • Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) – REAP is a common admission process for undergraduate engineering courses, and is conducted by the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan. The admission procedure is conducted on behalf of Govt. aided and private unaided technical institutes of Rajasthan. REAP application form is available in the first week of August. It is applicable only for Indian nationals having a Domicile of Origin certificate of Rajasthan. Admission is strictly done on the basis of the candidate’s merit (either in JEE Main or class 12th performance- basis).
  • COMEDK UGET - COMEDK UGET is a State level entrance exam conducted by universities in Karnataka and managed by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental institutes of Karnataka (COMEDK). COMEDK is for getting admission to UG courses in the field of medicine, dental sciences and engineering. Application forms are available in February and the last date to apply is in April. Generally, COMEDK UGET 2019 Engineering Exam is conducted in the month of May.
  • Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) – Also known as Kar CET, it is a State level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The exam is held in May every year for admission to various academic courses in the field of engineering, pharmacy, dental and other allied courses. Online applications are available on the KEA website from January onwards. The exam is conducted in the offline mode and the medium of KCET is English. Candidates are shortlisted and called for counselling based on the KCET cutoff list for the respective courses.
