MDS Orthodontics: Eligibility

Admission to MDS program is based on general academic achievement determined from a recognized degree of BDS awarded by an Indian University from a recognized Dental College or an equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India and should possess permanent registration with the State Dental Council.

  • Candidate seeking admission to postgraduate Dentistry course should hold BDS degree of recognized University by DCI.
  • A candidate who has completed one-year compulsory rotating internship or is likely to complete the same on or before 30th April of respective academic year can appear for Entrance exam.
  • Candidates previously admitted to PG degree course and resigned/left the seat are not eligible for appearing at Entrance exam.
  • Candidate should be appeared for the Entrance exam Examination conducted by this University and should get minimum 50% marks. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.

MDS Orthodontics: Admission Process

The admission is purely based on the merit and the medical colleges and universities conduct common entrance examination for the candidates. Every year different universities and institutions conduct the PG medical entrance examinations for both the MS and MDS courses. The eligible candidates from the written examination will be called for the counseling and interview process.
