MOT in Musculoskeletal: What is it About?

The musculoskeletal system, also known as the locomotors system, is an organ system that gives animals including humans the ability to move muscular and skeletal systems. The course is an advanced study of:

stability, support, and movement of the body.

body's bones, skeleton, cartilage, muscles, tendons, joints, ligaments, other connective tissues.

the system that supports and binds tissues and organs together.

primary functions of the system, such as:

  • motion
  • protection of vital organs.
  • provision of stability to the body.

The role of the system in the body could be likened to that of a reinforcement bar in concrete construction.  Some muscles keep bones in place and also play a role in their movement.

Bones are connected by joints, and cartilages prevent the bone ends from rubbing directly onto each other.
