B.Sc. in Animation Film Making is a 3 years full-time graduate course which is divided into 6 semesters. An animation and filmmaking course delves into an intense study of 2-D and 3-D animation, pre-production and post-production processes, sound editing, visual effects and filmmaking. B.Sc. in Animation Film Making: What is it all about?

Film & animation is the art of filmmaking and animation. This course discipline involves creating the film through traditional or digital means and animation using the latest computer animation technology. 

This animation course exposes students to the range of traditional and digital techniques used in Claymation, stop-motion, 2-D or 3-D computer animation. They learn basic theory and mechanics behind animation develop observational and drawing skills and study the fundamental principles of layout, character design, and storyboarding.

Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, these students learn squash and stretch, follow-through, keyframing and overlap techniques while creating their own short animation projects.  Animation is designed for storyboards. They learn basic animation theory and mechanics develop observational and drawing skills and study the fundamental principles of layout design, character design, and storyboarding in this class. Some storyboards are created for each animated character and a rough version of the animation is put together.

Digital filmmaking requires access to a good consumer-grade digital video camera a tripod and a 3-point lighting rig. Students also need a computer with editing, robust digital film, sound and scripting software; they should check with the school to see if it gives access to or requires the use of any particular equipment or software.
