How to Get Admission in Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Metallurgical and Materials Engineering)

The admission to this course is through entrance test conducted on a national level. The students have to take up this entrance test which is a multiple choice objective type questionnaire where students are evaluated on their knowledge about the basic concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The major entrance exams for admission to this course are JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The JEE Main is Joint Entrance Exam Main for admissions in NITs and other institutes. For admission to IITs one has to take the JEE Advanced which is, Joint Entrance Exam Advanced.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced are generally carried out in the month of April and May respectively.

Other entrance exams for B. Tech programs which are accepted by many colleges are TANCET, WBJEE.

Students are screened on the basis of their score in entrance exam, group discussion round and personal interview round.

Selection Process
