Eligibility Of the Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Printing Technology)

How to Get Admission in Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Printing Technology)

Admission to this program, like most B.Tech. programs, is through an entrance test. However, there are certain universities which may allow merit-based direct admission.

Entrance Exams

 There are many colleges whichset entrance exam as a criterion to get into this course. Entrance exams questions are mainly from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the difficulty level is of 10+2 level. Some of the entrance tests is listed below:

  • Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)- The combination of marks scored in 10+2 level examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main is considered for admission in this course. JEE Main application forms are released in the month of December and the examination is conducted in the month of April.
  • State Entrance Examinations – Some engineering colleges also admit students who qualify entrance exams conducted by various State Technical Education Boards, such as MH-CET which is conducted for admission to engineering colleges in Maharashtra.

Direct Admissions

Many Engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to the program on the basis of marks scored in 10+2. Some of these institutes are OM Institute of Technology and Management, Hisar and Somany (PG) Institute of Technology and Management (SITM), Rewari.

Lateral Entry

Universities such as Calicut University Institute of Engineering Technology and Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisaralso allow Lateral entry in the second year of the program. Students who hold a diploma in Printing Technology. For Guru Jambheshwar University  a separate entrance test is conducted by Haryana State Technical Education Society for lateral entry to 2nd year.
