What are your top 10 psychology tricks?

  • Katie George Dec-11-2018 06:18:51 AM ( 3 months ago )

Some tricks learnt from the internet and some came from experience

    1. How do you get someone to like you?

If you want someone to like you, ask them for a favor! Yes, it’s as simple as that. If a person does not like you and still helps you when you ask them for a favor, their brain will try and justify the act by giving them reasons.

    2. How do you know which two people are closest in a group?

If you are new at a place, and want to know which two people will back each other up at all times, then all you gotta do is carefully watch who a person glances at while they’re laughing. All of us instinctively glance at the person we like the most or are closest to when we laugh.

    3. How do you win someone’s trust instantly?

Try mirroring every move of theirs. Mirror their body language while they are talking you, action for action - and it will make the other person feel like you agree with them on most things and are also really compatible with them. This is called the chameleon effect

Every human being is a unique universe, but psychologists who have a keen eye for details keep discovering new behavioral patterns that are believed to be rooted in our childhood and can be applied to everyone.

    • If you want people to agree with you, just nod and maintain eye contact while you’re talking. ‘The nod’ sign means ‘everything I’m saying is true.’ Plus, following social behavior patterns, people tend to nod back.
    • Do you want people to take your words seriously? Every time you tell them something, say that your father taught you this. People tend to believe parents’ advice inherently.
    • If you have the feeling that someone is watching you, just yawn and look around. If someone is really stalking you, they will yawn too, since yawning is highly contagious.
    • If a certain song is stuck in your head and you would love to forget it, try to think of the end of the song. According to the Zeigarnik effect, our brain tends to remember the things that we’ve left unfinished. So if you think of the end of the annoying ear worm, you will be able to get it out of your head.
