This role is responsible for the development, design and maintenance of all internal and external communications channels and projects for the business
Sourcing and writing content for publication on websites for many different businesses within the Appco network (including news, blogs and thought-leadership articles)
Managing and continually updating multiple social media channels with bespoke content to increase engagement and assist with online reputation management of the business
Managing the daily requirements of the organisations SEO strategy
Assisting with the delivery of and ongoing adherence to the global communications strategy
maintaining, galvanizing and liaising with a group of international contacts for content-gathering purposes
Proofing all copy for use in printed publications and sales collateral, and on websites, apps, etc.
Managing the internal staff e-newsletter and other internal communications projects
building relationships with staff and business partners alike in order to provide the best support for the business
Monitor the communications strategy used by the business partners, offering support and solutions as required
Providing communications support on ad-hoc projects
Bachelor in Communication & Mass Media
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Excellent written and spoken English
Excellent understanding of English grammar
Experience of and proficiency in managing multiple social media channels
Experience of and proficiency in SEO-based content creation
Experience writing across multiple channels, both on and offline
Experience in news/content sourcing
Strong project management skills able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
Knowledge of Editing, proofreading, layout & design
Should have wide degree of creativity & latitude
All-rounder in communication, with an excellent grasp of content creation/marketing for print and online channels for internal and external audiences.
A strong writer with an excellent grasp of grammar and the ability to produce powerful content for a variety of channels and purposes
A multi-tasker, who is skilled at and confident juggling multiple projects simultaneously, without compromising on quality or deadlines
Ability to focus on new projects with little or no warning, and quickly grasp then deliver the requirements.
A proficient writer
Ability to manage, support and add creative input in regards to layout, artwork and design of all communications produced by the team
The communications manager will work closely with the Head of Communications, fellow members of the Cobra Communications team and colleagues across the organisation, so they must be able to take direction, offer advice and have strong interpersonal skills. A significant proportion of their work will require proactivity, so the successful person will also need to be a self-starter who can use their own initiative
