We have urgent opening for the post of Assistant Manager - Purchase in Mumbai Maharashtra Location in Crane rental Ltd company

Position: Assistant Manager - Purchase

Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Exp - Minimum 2-4 years (within the industry).Recycling of used parts and scrap.

CTC 2.5 to 2.80 LPA

Skills Good Relationship with Vendors and knowledgeable.

Experience - Inventory Management, SCM (supply chain & logistics Experience)

KNOWLEDGE - Computers, Purchasing procedures and documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides efficient support to the Head of Imports and the Inventory Controller, with overall responsibility of coordinating between the sales locations, purchasing and Accounting.

  • Manage Purchase Orders.
  • Oversee Shipping Schedules.
  • Maintain Purchase Records.
  • Oversee Vendor Activities.
  • Upkeep Relationships with Existing Vendors.
  • Develop New Vendors (Keep Optimum LIVE vendors in list of all types).
  • Manage Inventory and Track Inventory.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate between Operations and Purchasing.
  • Prepares Purchase Orders and Payments.
  • Invoices and report discrepancies.
  • Payment Processing through Finance and Accounts.
  • Periodically reviews Pending Order Report and Coordinates with the Accounts Department in regards to the Orders cancelled/items not delivered by the suppliers.
  • Maintains the data base, files and records of the Purchasing.

Carries out any other responsibility as may be delegated by the Head.

  1. Prepare purchase orders and verify pricing for products against master list.
  2. Follow-up on ordering issues and confirmations.
  3. Pressure vendors for timely shipping date.
  4. Substitute items and negotiate pricing.
  5. Verify stock and distribution locations.
  6. Issue returns and follow-up on credits.
  7. Work with suppliers and multiple office managers.
  8. Review quality of product.
  9. Miscellaneous projects assigned by purchasing manager.
  10. Excel and Word experience required.
  11. Experience with MRP and purchasing systems desired.
  12. Experience with purchasing mechanical components and machining services required.
